[EN] Low-spin, high-spin and spin-transition behaviours have been observed for the doubly interpenetrating three-dimensional bimetallic compounds {Fe-II(pz)[Ag(CN)(2)](2)}.pz (pz= pyrazine), {Fe-II(4,4'-bipy)(2)[Ag(CN)(2)](2)} (4,4'-bipy-4,4'-bipyridine), and {Fe-II-(bpe)(2)[Ag(CN)(2)](2)} (bpe = bispyridylethylene), respectively. The single crystals of the bpe derivative undergo a spin transition with a large hysteresis loop at about 95 K. After several warming and cooling cycles, the single crystals become a microcrystalline powder with 50% spin transition. Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) is a well-known geophysical method applied to geological, hydrogeological and geoenvironmental research. To date, 2D ERT is still used much more than 3D ERT, thanks to its greater immediacy, survey speed and lower complexity in processing and inversion. However, the assumption of two-dimensionality of the underground structures can mean that the effects of 3D structures on the 2D ERT can sometimes lead to gross errors in interpretation. The X-linked gene encoding aristaless-related homeobox (ARX) is a bi-functional transcription factor capable of activating or repressing gene transcription, whose mutations have been found in a wide spectrum of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs); these include cortical malformations, paediatric epilepsy, intellectual disability (ID) and autism. In addition to point mutations, duplications of the ARX locus have been detected in male patients with ID. These rearrangements include telencephalon ultraconserved enhancers, whose structural alterations can interfere with the control of ARX expression in the developing brain.
